Job Description:
Barry-Wehmiller, a global engineering and manufacturing technology leader, is hiring a Security Automation Engineer to automate security incident response and integrate security SaaS systems. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency through automation in IT security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate security incident response tasks including identification, containment, and recovery
• Develop automation workflows using Python, PowerShell, and Microsoft Power Automate
• Build and maintain REST API integrations between SaaS security systems
• Collaborate with security teams to translate requirements into automation solutions
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and document automated systems and workflows
• Monitor IT assets and networks for security issues and threats
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and log/alert management

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years automation experience with strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
• Proven REST API integration experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science required
• Strong problem-solving and independent working skills
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, SaaS integration, security domain knowledge, relevant certifications

Work Environment:

• Full-time office position based in Chennai
• Occasional domestic or global travel may be required
