Job Description:

Farnell, a division of Avnet and global leader in high-service electronics distribution, is seeking an NI Technical Support Engineer to work with cutting-edge hardware platforms and provide technical consultation to global clients. You will be part of the NI (National Instruments) product support team, delivering outstanding system-level support using LabVIEW, TestStand, PXI, cDAQ, and cRIO technologies.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support for NI products via phone/email
• Support CompactRIO, CompactDAQ platforms and configure systems via NI System Advisor
• Deliver onboarding support and usage consultation for NI hardware & software products
• Recommend NI system architecture based on customer requirements
• Assist in internal team training and documentation
• Escalate critical issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex queries
• Serve as the bridge between Sales, Support, and Engineering for NI-related queries
• Work EMEA (1–10 PM) or US (5:30 PM–2:30 AM) shift hours

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of NI hardware: PXI, cDAQ, cRIO
• Hands-on LabVIEW programming skills (signal processing/control)
• Experience with LabVIEW/TestStand and C/C++
• Good system-level knowledge: hardware-software integration, configuration
• Customer-centric mindset and strong communication skills
• Experience in customer-facing technical support roles
• Ability to recommend system architecture tailored to applications

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified LabVIEW Associate/Developer/Architect (CLAD, CLD, CLA)
• Certified TestStand Developer (CTD), Certified Embedded Developer (CLED), Certified Test Architect (CTA)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with production/bench test systems
• System integration knowledge across NI and 3rd-party hardware
• NI System Advisor tool experience
• Familiarity with signal acquisition/control scenarios
