Job Summary

AspenTech is seeking a Software Quality Engineer who will collaborate with development and deployment teams to ensure top-tier quality through automation and continuous integration. This role is part of the Software Engineer in Test (SET) team and is ideal for candidates with a strong passion for software testing and quality assurance in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software development and deployment teams to ensure product quality.
• Work within scrum teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Design, develop, and maintain test charters, automation scripts, and test plans.
• Execute automated testing using Python and scripting tools.
• Implement and improve test methodologies and automation strategies.
• Set up and manage Continuous Integration (CI) test environments.
• Analyze defects and contribute to product improvement plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in test automation using Python.
• 0–2 years of hands-on experience in software QA/testing.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and automation best practices.
• Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Familiarity with Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments.
• Experience with version control tools (Git, Subversion, CVS, etc.).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in Agile testing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to test automation tools like Selenium, Robot Framework, and JMeter.
• Understanding of database technologies like MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Experience with virtualization tools like VMware and vSphere.
• Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement new QA tools.
