Roles & Responsibilities:

• Server Management: Remotely manage multiple servers and handle production infrastructure with a strong understanding of change management.
• Linux Proficiency: Work extensively with Linux command shell (bash) and basic scripting.
• Container Technologies: Hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes.
• Database Administration: Administer MySQL, Postgres, and CouchDB — including backup, restore, replication, and scaling.
• Web Servers: Manage HTTP/HTTPS servers like NGINX, Apache, Spring Boot, and JBOSS, including SSL certificate installation and renewal.
• Networking: Strong understanding of DNS, Ports, Firewalls, VLAN, VPC, and basic network debugging/configuration.
• Health Monitoring: Implement and maintain server health monitoring and preventive maintenance using open-source or third-party tools.
• Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
• Infrastructure as Code: Expertise in developing IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong knowledge of Linux shell scripting and command-line operations.
• Solid hands-on experience with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with database management and administration for MySQL, Postgres, and CouchDB.
• Understanding of web servers, networking principles, and SSL certificate management.
• Ability to monitor infrastructure health and liaise with data center service providers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
