About the Role

Appwrite is seeking a skilled and motivated Support Engineer to join their success team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment while interacting directly with developers, contributing to community success, and enhancing backend tech expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and technical support on Appwrite services, APIs, and SDKs
• Engage actively with Appwrite's online communities (GitHub, Discord, Reddit, Twitter, etc.)
• Gather user feedback, identify pain points, and suggest improvements
• Maintain user documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting content
• Handle and resolve support tickets with ownership and empathy
• Collaborate with Developer Relations and Engineering teams
• Detect and report bugs, and track their resolution
• Create and maintain a Knowledge Base of support articles
• Monitor Appwrite systems to ensure uptime and performance
• Track KPIs and provide weekly performance reports
• Continuously look for ways to improve support workflows

Requirements

• 2+ years in technical support, customer service, or technical troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills, especially with a global audience
• Solid understanding of programming and software debugging
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks: React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte
• Familiarity with mobile/web client platforms (Flutter, iOS, Android)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean)
• Bonus: Prior experience using or contributing to Appwrite
