Job Overview

APEXX Global is hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will design, build, and scale cloud-native infrastructure supporting mission-critical payment services, banking integrations, and FinTech applications.

The role focuses on resilient cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes (EKS), automation, CI/CD pipelines, security, and observability, ensuring our platform remains highly available, secure, and performant.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform (IaC).
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and container orchestration workflows.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes for zero-downtime deployments.
• Implement best practices for multi-region deployment, latency optimization, and failover strategies.

Reliability, Security & Operations

• Drive a culture of “You build it, you run it” for reliability, SLAs, and incident response.
• Ensure robust cloud security posture including secrets management, IAM, network segmentation, and compliance with PCI-DSS and SOC2 standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and production incident response, performing blameless postmortems.
• Contribute to long-term architecture decisions, operational excellence, and infrastructure roadmaps.

Deployment & Delivery

• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support fast, repeatable, and reliable deployments.
• Partner with engineering teams to accelerate product launches, unblock deployment issues, and ensure production reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, API Gateway, WAF), EKS, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in multi-region deployments, understanding latency, failover, and cost trade-offs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Passion for building resilient, scalable, and secure systems and reducing operational toil.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in FinTech, Payments, or Banking Technology.
• Knowledge of Observability and Monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack.
• Familiarity with AWS RDS/Aurora, Snowflake, QuickSight, and DMS.
• Experience with automation of operational workflows for zero-downtime releases.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, OU structures, and GPO configurations.
