As part of the AWS Global Support team, you will interact with leading companies, helping them to succeed with mission-critical applications built on top of AWS services.

This is a customer support role in the cloud. You will provide technical support, apply advanced troubleshooting techniques, and help customers resolve issues across a wide range of AWS services.

Job Role

• Solve customer cases through various contact channels, including telephone, email, and web/live chat
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions
• Work on complex technical issues, and assist in mentoring new hires
• Collaborate with development teams on complex issues and participate in process improvement
• Write tools/scripts, contribute to training materials, and drive customer communication during critical events

Key Responsibilities

• Work on a broad spectrum of technical issues related to AWS services
• Interact with leading technologists to resolve customer issues
• Drive improvements in customer support processes
• Write technical tutorials and articles for the AWS developer community
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve service offerings
• Support customers with mission-critical problems across AWS services

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 0–1 years of experience in Linux Systems administration, Database Design and Optimization, Big Data Analysis, Network Administration, or DevOps
• Programming/scripting experience (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP)
• Troubleshooting and support experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix Systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris)
• Familiarity with Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS) and Databases
• Exposure to Cloud Computing
• Strong customer focus and multitasking skills
• Self-starter, excited about technology
• Ability to work in night shifts
