About the Role

Amazon is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join the Product Replenishment Operational Excellence (PROX) team. If you're passionate about building high-impact automation tools, solving scalable system challenges, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, this role is for you.

In this position, you’ll work on deployment automation, auto-remediation pipelines, cloud monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code to deliver operational excellence for Amazon systems used worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate deployments and build infrastructure-as-code for scalability and resiliency
• Troubleshoot distributed, production-grade systems in a 24/7 AWS environment
• Drive reliability and performance improvements via monitoring and alerting systems
• Build operational dashboards to track system health and deployment status
• Collaborate with cross-functional tech teams across multiple services
• Create auto-healing scripts and develop tools for issue auto-resolution
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with industry-standard DevOps practices

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Backend Development
• Proficient in Python, Shell scripting, Java, or C++
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging cloud-native infrastructure
• Hands-on with version control systems, automation tools, and ticket resolution systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining 24x7 production systems
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• Worked in Agile/Scrum development cycles
• Knowledge of DevOps monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog
• Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
