Job Purpose:

Acuity Knowledge Partners is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to enhance the reliability and performance of our data pipeline. The role involves working closely with researchers, data strategists, operations, and engineering teams to ensure the smooth operation of the pipeline that handles a continuously updating catalog of vendor and market data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pipeline Monitoring & Support:
  • Support daily operation and monitoring of the data pipeline.
  • Triage and resolve issues promptly and monitor real-time alerts to ensure smooth workflow.
• Reliability & Improvement:
  • Improve the reliability and operability of pipeline components.
  • Solve both business and technical issues related to data structure, quality, and availability.
• Stakeholder Interaction:
  • Communicate and collaborate with external vendors on behalf of internal clients.
• Attention to Detail:
  • Maintain high-quality standards in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
  • B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python programming and SQL.
  • Experience with Unix platform and tools like bash, git, regex.
• Communication:
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Industry Experience:
  • Experience in financial services or data science is a plus.
• Problem-Solving:
  • Critical thinking skills to address complex issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Team-Oriented:
  • Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and high work ethic.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Perl or C++.
• Familiarity with PromQL for monitoring.
