Role Summary
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will support the modernization and migration of data platforms to the cloud, collaborating with internal teams to develop robust data pipelines and real-time data solutions. You will also contribute to data security, automation, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating data platforms to Google Cloud (GCP).
• Ensure data security and compliance with regulations.
• Support data pipelines from various internal/external sources.
• Help develop automation and monitoring for pipeline performance.
• Collaborate with data science and product teams on PoCs.
• Maintain documentation and reusable code libraries.
• Work on both real-time and batch processing data systems.

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in data engineering and application development.
• Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Spark (mandatory), Java, Scala, and DS & Algorithms.
• Exposure to AWS and cloud technologies.
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines in the cloud.
• CI/CD pipeline experience in GCP DevOps.
• Understanding of data governance and security practices.
• Agile environment experience.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Familiarity with Kafka, Event Hubs, or real-time streaming.
• Legacy RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, Teradata), DataStage/Talend experience.
• Background in supporting production data science models.
